Silky Adirondack Spruce top, highly flamed one piece Maple back, sides & neck, triple bound body, neck and peghead, triple bound hand made Ebony abbreviated pickguard, traditional style full contact Ebony bridge, gold engraved “James” tailpiece with Ellis logo, gold Waverly tuners with Pearl buttons, tobacco sunburst varnish finish, Ebony abbreviated fingerboard with dot inlay, 1 1/8’’ FWI nut width and outstanding “Wires & Wood” peghead inlay with inlaid truss rod cover. A total tone machine with all the “woof & power” you expect from an Ellis. Clean, clear and precise with a chop that emits a “percussive” reverb. Tastes like honey, plays like butter and just melts in your hand. An Ellis with this inlay pattern is rare as there is only a very few made and can probably be counted on one hand.
